I'm sorrier that you know for keeping you waiting so long and extremely grateful that you didn't give up on me. There are many reasons I haven't managed to write in so long and I am going to share them with you as I think you deserve an explanation.
As I wrote the chapter 20 of Resonating Light, I was already struggling to write after something terribly sad happened that affected me profoundly. Then something wonderful happened. I fell pregnant with my third baby. Unfortunately, I am not someone who blooms in pregnancy but instead I am exhausted and I am sick…a lot. It took everything I had to stay up until the kids went to bed and my evenings, which were the only chance I got to write, were completely non-existent. When my son arrived he was beautiful, but sleep averse! He has yet to sleep through the night and I found coping difficult. Just as things finally started to settle, I went back to work and juggling my kids and work while my youngest still wakes up several times a night is exhausting. I had to prioritise what was important and although I missed writing very much, I just couldn't find any time or energy to do it and my family had to come first. On top of that, this upcoming chapter was incredibly difficult to write. I have re-written it many times and could not find the confidence to post it.
I was frustrated that I hadn't managed to finish Resonating Light and a few months ago I couldn't quash the urge to write it any longer. On my rare spare moments I have been writing, but I didn't want to start posting again until I was sure I could finish it this time. I did not want to let anyone down again so I have written several chapters ahead and I am almost finished. Although the rest of the story is still a rough draft, the bulk of the writing is done and I am hopeful I will be able to update more regularly now. If you have read this far and are still with me then thank you so much for putting up with me.
The rating of Resonating Light has changed to M. This is purely a precaution and I do not intend to write anything explicit, but some of the upcoming chapters have touched on mature themes and I didn't want to censor them. I hope this change will not upset anyone, but if it does then please feel free to PM me about it. I will happily answer questions or send you an edited version if you would like me to.
